Happy February, ya’ll!

It is the season of love and hearts, perfect time for some self care! Today lets talk about the “unsexy” side of self care. Here are some examples of day-to-day self care that you might not be clocking as self-care.

Medications
Taking medications
This might mean using a “pill minder” or even alarms to remind yourself!
Going to the pharmacy to refill a prescription
Calling the doctor to request a refill

Meals
This could look like keeping snacks with you so that if you realize that you forgot to eat or something comes up that keeps you from being able to stop for a break- you are still covered. Sure you can plan and prep elaborate meals, but sometimes good enough is good enough.

Rest
Setting alarms for waking up.
Setting out your clothes or putting together outfits on Sunday so you’re ready for the work seek.
Packing your lunch the day before so you can just pick up and go.

My hope is that you can start to count all the things that you are doing to prepare for the day/week ahead!

If you have “start therapy” on your self love to-do list, reach out and lets schedule a free 15 minute consult so we can see if we are a good fit for therapy.

As always, take such good care!
