Tips for ADHD and the Holidays: Plan ahead for breaks!

I think many of us have been here before. December has just began and you already feel behind. I am bringing you tips for navigating the holidays while feeling more in control and regulated.

TIP #1

Intentionally create breaks for yourself when socializing over the holidays. It can help to have reminders on your phone to drink water or take space outside. You might find that your social battery is drained more this time of year.

What can you do to create more space for yourself to check in and take care of yourself?

What items can you keep in your car so that if you are out socializing for the holidays and need a sensory break, a snack, or quiet to collect your thoughts? This might be a good time to collect those things to keep in your car so that you are prepared.

Check back often to see more tips as they are updated.

Take good care!
