"Oops, I Forgot”: The ADHD Guide to Actually Remembering Stuff

Ever walked into a room and immediately forgotten why? Put something in a “safe place” and now it’s lost forever? Congrats! Your brain is a chaotic, beautiful mess.

Let’s talk about real memory hacks that work, like:
✅ Sticking post-its where you actually look (not hidden in a drawer).

-Consider putting post its on your front door with reminders that you need at the door.

-Consider post-it’s on the bathroom mirror with things that you need to think about when you are in the bathroom.

-Need to remember to grab your lunch, but always make coffee in the morning? Consider putting the post-it on the coffee maker.

✅ The “if-then” trick—If I take my meds, then I reward myself with coffee.

Find ways to reward yourself with the things that you were planning to do all along.

-Consider what works best for you and leverage that insight!

-If I take out the garbage then I get to scroll for 10 minutes on social media.

✅ Putting your keys in the fridge with your creamer (works better than you’d think).
